THE MOTHER OF ALL DENIM LINES IS AT BLUE BEE BOUTIQUE
Buyer and Blue Bee Co-Owner Marty Bebout is one of the first to pioneer this new brand in his boutique. Bebout says he saw something exceptionally special and went for it. “As a specialty store that emphasizes newer and more unique brands, we are excited at Blue Bee to receive our first deliveries of Mother this spring. Tim Kaeding is one of the most talented denim designers, and everyone has been waiting to see what he would do after leaving his position as head designer for 7 for all Mankind. “
The founders of Mother Denim were recently interviewed by DenimBlog. When asked what the best feature of Mother Denim was they replied “We worked with our favorite mills to make our own denim that feels like cashmere, really transforming denim from a workwear material into a true luxury fabric. Our washes are full of color, moving from straight vintage to bright blues, blown out light blues and really saturated rinses.”
Blue Bee is one of the first boutiques to offer Mother Denim, which is in keeping with Blue Bee’s Mission of helping its customers find “below the radar” designers. “Knowing his history of work, and after previewing the initial launch collection of Mother, we are confident that Mother will become one of the most important denim brands to hit the fashion scene,” continued Bebout. “Mother is a perfect match for Blue Bee’s aesthetic and fits nicely with our assortment of very special denim brands. We are proud to feature Mother in the Blue Bee stores and on our website, www.bluebee.com.”
Blue Bee Jeans will feature the Straight A Skirt which is already the hottest trend of the Spring 2011. Blue Bee will also stock the fresh styles of the “Looker” (a cropped skinny), the “Runaway” (a not so basic Straight leg), the “Skinny Not So Skinny” (a super flattering slouchy skinny), and several other new styles. Initial deliveries to Blue Bee include the Runaway Skinny Flare, the Curfew Bell and the Looker Skinny in white.
ABOUT MOTHER:
Tim Kaeding, former creative director/designer for 7 for All Mankind, and Lela Tillem, former president of sales and marketing at Citizens for Humanity have teamed up to launch the mother of all denim lines: Mother. The collection features trendy styles, from flares, to skinnies and denim leggings. Not only has incredible detail been considered with fit, but also with fabric selection. The fabric is soft and luxurious but also features stretch, for a snug and flattering look. Kaeding explains the mission behind the line, was to “Break the barriers of what people have come to expect of average mainstream denim companies. Aside from the obvious luxurious nature of the denims, we really went after a more saturated wash palette. Kill City is not for everyone. It is for those who love below the radar brands, inspired by music and art, and are not afraid to go against the grain.
